เครื่องทดสอบการเคลือบผิวแบบอัตโนมัติ (Automatic film applicator) ได้รับการออกแบบมาเพื่อแก้ปัญหาความไม่สม่ำเสมอและความแปรปรวนที่เกิดจากการเคลือบผิวด้วยมือ โดยใช้หลักการเคลือบด้วยลูกกลิ้ง (Roller Coating) หรือใบมีด (Blade Coating) ที่ควบคุมด้วยระบบอัตโนมัติ และได้มาตรฐานการดทอสบ JIS K5101, K5400 และ ASTM D832 ทำให้ได้ความหนาของสารเคลือบที่สม่ำเสมอและแม่นยำ ซึ่งถ้าหากสารเคลือบผิวมีประสิทธิภาพสูง ในการใช้งาน เช่น แผงวงจรอิเล็กทรอนิกส์จะช่วยป้องกันความชื้นและฝุ่นละอองช่วยเพิ่มความทนทานและอายุการใช้งานของอุปกรณ์ได้ เป็นต้น ในขบวนการผลิตการควบคุมคุณภาพสารเคลือบผิวได้อย่างแม่นยำ และประหยัดเวลาการทดสอบด้วยเครื่องอัตโนมัติ จะช่วยเพิ่มการผลิตได้อย่างดียิ่งขึ้นได้
